I would like to describe a province located in the east of the country, called Sukhbaatar. My parents and grandparents were born there. Even though I am Mongolian and lived there for 27 years, I have only traveled to Sukhbaatar province.
As an eastern territory, Sukhbaatar is a large area of land with grass but no trees, and mountains, which is actually good for horses.
Back home, transport system is not developed very well. So only transport which take you there is car, middle-sized car is more appropriate.
The province has a quite bit of features. One feature is a mountain located in the center of the province, called Shiliin bogd. In the old days, Mongolian warriors would climb up this mountain and watch the sunrise. Local people claim that watching the sunrise from the top of this mountain gives you a lot of energy and power. Mostly, men do this.
What's more, there is a lake right next to this mountain. Every year, a herd of swans assemble in this lake and changes the color of the lake into white. Most tourists and Mongolian citizens come to this lake to see the absolute gorgeousness.
