1 year plan

Since I don't want to work for someone, I plan to become an entrepreneur. I aim to make 5 million on monthly basis from two sources of income. 

1) FOREX: 3 million

3 million is equal to around $1034. 

$1034 / 20 working days = $52. This is my daily goal. 

2) ONLINE SHOP: 2 million

2 million / 30 days = 67,000. This is my daily goal.

Bye 2017

2017 passed in the blink of an eye. It seems like yesterday that I came back to my hometown after 3 years of studies in Australia. But it's been already a year since then. Last year gave me both good and bad news, but good ones are more than bad, I hope. :) 

Just like everyone else, I plan a lot of things for upcoming year, such as new career, places to visit, things to learn, money to make etc,. But at the end of the year, it's very common that I didn't make it. Here is what I planned but couldn't make it, and reasons. 

• Improve my Korean language

I should have made reachable goal in the first place. For instance, what level of Korean language I plan to reach for. 

• Learn swimming

Instead of just saying learn to swim, I should have made progress plan, and go to swimming pool.

• Exercise every day except for Sunday

This one, I think, was implemented very well. I felt better every single day, and feel good when getting to work. 

• get PIER certificate

There are a lot things to read, not actually difficult. But takes so much time. Some day I got encouraged to get it, but other days I was in doubt about its necessity. 

• improve English

Same as first goal, it's not specific goal. English skill can be assessed by IELTS score. So, I should aim for higher IELTS score.

For upcoming year, I will work hard for better version of me.

US visa interview

Why do you want to travel to USA?

For tourism purpose and also visit to my friend. We want to visit places such as Statue of Liberty, Hollywood sign, universal studios, Hollywood walk of fame, Lincoln memorial, white house.

Why do you want to visit only at this time?

We are planning to visit the USA in the summer months, when weather will be good for tourism. Plus, in Australia this time of year is considered to be the coldest time. We would like to enjoy our holiday in nice hot weather. There is another reasons for this question. Firstly, I am going to do master in business management, major in finance,  next year,  preferred February. Once I have started the master, I will be very busy and won't have time for travel. On top of that, we are also planning to have baby next year. Two birds with one stone. When I finished the course, we will go back to Mongolia with a baby and a master degree.

The shit school

The school, actually it is supposed to be called institute but somehow they named the institute as school, is a complete crap. I have just realized the saying "Do not blame people for disappointing you, blame yourself for expecting too much from them". This was the cheapest option to me for the visa extension. 

The school system and curriculum do not seem to be working there. Even teachers are not well educated, perhaps less educated than their students. No document standard exists in the school. Just for one assessment, there are numerous separate papers including assessment, printed slide, appendix etc,. Making a booklet by stapling all the papers together can be the simplest and best solution to the problem. It is hard to believe but truth is no one give a shout about it. 

Again, do not blame people for disappointing you, blame yourself for expecting too much from them.

A month of my life without any job

I was lucky to have found a job within two months after I came to Australia. It has become nearly three years living in Brisbane. During this time, I was never unemployed, always had regular income. The most jobs I had done until my last one were cleaning jobs. So I made up my mind to gain different experience in another industry. In other words, I got sick of it. I was hired as a courier driver in an Australian company. What intrigued me is to learn driving in Australia and have different experience in my resume. More importantly, I hoped that I would always communicate with customers and then improve my English. That was my plan. But it did not end up well, as I injured my back and spent too much in working and what's worse is that my salary expectation was considerably less. These factors caused me to chuck in the job. It has become nearly a month without job. Now I am in very desperate situation due to the fact that I am fed by my wife. I am the one who is supposed to provide my wife with food and clothing and other stuff. But at this moment, it is the other way around. I feel certain that it is not going to last long.

Recently

It has been already one and half years since my bojooloi and I extended our visas. There is new concern for both of us again about how to renew our visas. The last extension was made just to stay here longer and improve our English. Having said that, behind this visa renewal, in my opinion, there might have been a hidden thought of getting to know each other more. But this time, the situation is thoroughly different, as we are married. Currently we have several options to stay here again. The reason why we want to stay here again is that back home, due to the recession, many people are being made redundant, and those people are heading overseas for work and survival. In this case, going back home is mediocre decision. 

First option is that one of us is to study. So that the other one will be able to stay as a dependent. The advantages of doing so are that we will get good education and have better English. Moreover, this visa enables the dependent one to work full time. More importantly, after graduation my bojooloi and I will be able to apply for PR that allows international students to stay and live in Australia forever. Everyone in here wants this. However, there are some disadvantages. The biggest one is money. In Australia education is ridiculously expensive, at least $12,000 per semester and it has increased over the years. Plus, we are not sure whether we would stay here again 2,3 more years after university. 

Second option is to apply for PR straight away. Even though we are not confident in ourselves, we would like to give it a try. Professional lawyers help will be necessary for us. Apparently, it takes quite long time. Because sister of my friend applied it even before I came to Australia and has still been waiting, around 3 years. But if we fail in this visa, as far as we are concerned, it might compound the situation. So we are dubious about it.

Finish the job for a day before 12pm

I have a confession which is I have a bad habit of going to bad too late and waking up mid-afternoon. It has been with me since young age. I did not consider about it much before. I would explain it that my brain works more at night rather than morning or afternoon. This is only one excuse I always make. I would not care if my brain works more at night and I am more creative. But truth is I waste most of my time in front of computer surfing the internet and Facebook. I cannot concentrate something for a long time, I lost my concentration very often, then to re-energize myself I do something different which is obviously Facebook. 

From now on, I have decided to sleep early and get up early. There is an article on the internet about it. According to it, those who wake up at 6:30 and finish their work for a day before 12 pm are more creative. Because human brain is very creative in the morning, and besides people lose their concentration gradually if the work is more than 5 hours. I would like to translate this article to English. Through this practice, I want test my English translating skill, lol. 

By learning to finish the work for a day before 12 pm, the changes that have occurred to my life. 

There are many people who waste their time on just sitting in front of computer. I was one of them. Playing unnecessary games or surfing the internet without purpose, I cannot calculate how many years and months I wasted. To me, giving full attention what I am doing was very difficult. Apart from reading advice about spending the time effectively, I even attended the class towards a better personal management. Though, due to the poor concentration, piles of tasks were still formed in my desk, and I would stay at work late with ugly face while my fellow co-workers got home. 

But recently I have given some thought to what is actually more important in my life.  I am interested in good life style and then made it my own business. As a result of considering of it seriously, I started my business not to work hard but to have enough time to do what I want. I realized that I had been wasting my time in front of computer in order to look like a hardworking man.

So as to get rid of the bad habit, I have made an experiment, which is to start the work 6:30 in the morning and finish before 12 in the afternoon. From 6:30 am to 12 pm, it is just 5 and half hour, isn't it? I know you saying it is not enough time. To work energetically give hour is enough, but it becomes ineffective if exceeding it. Of course it is hard to change your life style that quickly. You need training.

Be a competitor

An other day, I had a job interview in a restaurant, which was a group interview. I got to the restaurant and asked a waitress for the manager. The waitress immediately knew why I came and then told me to get to the upstairs pointing with her index finger to a room surrounded by glass walls. In that special room approximately 14 people were sitting for the same reason, all from different countries and majority of them were in late twenties. I had experience of work interview before in which I was often asked just normal questions such as how long I have been in here, when my visa will expire, etc,. I was expecting the same interview because I applied for a kitchen hand that doesn't need special interview, but this time was thoroughly different. When I got to the other candidates to join, they were all writing their signature and email address in a list, and therefore everyone had a their name written label on their chest. After I signed in the list, I took a new label and then wrote my short name on it and stuck it to my chest. Shortly, the manager came and introduced herself as well as the restaurant. After her speech, she wanted us to introduce ourselves. I had done this kind of introduction countless times since I had came. It was a piece of cake. Subsequently, she divided the group into two teams. The one stayed in the same place, while the other moved to a another room. The manager girl stayed with us as an our team advisor. The first thing we all were asked was that what your best customer service experience was. The second thing is to list ideal words for the best customer service, then to choose the most important three of them. The last task for two team was to great a party brochure which could attract people most. Our team made a Christmas party on a normal A3 poster. But the other team's work was much more creative than ours. They made an envelope with coloured paper and all the information was written inside. At the very end, the manager's assistant called couple of people's names and asked them to stay and the rest to follow him. I was among those whose name was not called. It obvious that we were out of the game. As far as I was concerned, the manager chose a few people who have an initiative and are creative. 

What I learned from this is to be a competitor. In fact, I don't compete hard and push myself. Instead I just give up easily. It may be because of my upbringing. I am very gentle, maybe too gentle. What's more, I often avoid communication. For example, when it comes to sit in table, I immediately choose a chair at the the corner of table, which is not suitable position to talk to others. Besides, I should talk to people in loud voice, so everyone can hear me. Don't miss the opportunity to get someone special's attention. If you don't do this, you will always miss the chance to succeed, even if you are a smart or clever, whatever. Just be clever.

How to do online business

I have been thinking of internet business for a long time, even before I came to Australia, I used to think of it. At that time, out of lack of English, I was unable to fulfill this dream. Now my English is much better than it used to be before. But I still can't start this. Here is one bizarre thing, which is some eBay sellers sell items for 3$ and offer free shipping. What is strange is that per parcel costs at least 7$ unless you made an high volume parcel contract with post office. Even you made this contract, parcel cost is still more than 3$. How do these sellers do this? This is the biggest question for me so far. Here are some ways I assume: 

• For example, phone case and USB charger are light and small. So they can fit in a letter, which costs: (LARGE LETTER : 125g, 260x360x20mm = $1.40) This looks reasonable.

A bad habit

As far as I am concerned, everyone has any bad habits at least one. Some have a habit of overusing alcoholic drinks or smoke, while some lie more often. Personally, I have couple of it but not like those I wrote above. I, for example, defend myself too much and think I am right, you're wrong etc., in any debate. I have noticed this habit for a long time, yet I am still unable to fix it. Let me give some incident, few days ago, approximately a week, my girlfriend and I were invited to my former house mate's house for dinner. Actually, we disliked the invitation because the host, the former house mate, had lied to us several times. She might be absent minded or neglectful or something like that. Sorry for too much detail of her. Let's move to the main point. For this reason, I phoned to my supervisor to ask for a day off. If the real reason had been told to the supervisor, she obviously would never have accepted. So I just lied saying that I had a headache and was unable to work that day-besides, told her I had never took a day off before. It was silly of me. I shouldn't have specified that. In response, she almost laughed and might have got I was lying. We had an argument on phone then no day off. At that time, what came to my mind first is that she is a bastard, not caring and I was absolutely right. I now understand I am not completely right. I need to fix it one way or another.

Don't rush

I have worked as a cleaner in Australia for nearly one and half year. Since I started working, nothing special happened to me in my career. In order to gain new experience as a kitchen hand, one day I went to a area which is close to my new house and where there are quite bit of restaurants for students. 

As soon as I got there, I handed in my resume to a Turkish kebab shop which is named by its owner's name. A courteous man, who is same age as my father and was dressed in a black tee and pants-besides, put a dark beret on, welcomed me and was keen on hiring me because of my nationality. After a couple of hours, I was called by the man, then hired as a kitchen hand. I was thrilled that the first restaurant I applied for took on me. The man told me to work there for a week training with no pay but with a free lunch. I of course agreed and began. 

The first couple of days passed as I learned how to make kebab and serve meals to customers. Making kebab was much easier than I thought. In that time, I had plenty of free time as well as chance to talk to someone English. To communicate to the staff in there, I would ask the boss anything such as Turkish custom and kebab. One day as usual I asked him about how much whole kebab meal cost. I had no hidden thought behind this question, but the man suspiciously looked at me and said nothing. He might have thought I wanted to get to know his business. Since then, he had became very cautious. At third day with the restaurant, he said to me to work twice a week until the restaurants is closed. It was very hard to me because of my main cleaner job. Next day, I explained, actually lied, him that I found an another cleaning job, so that I am unable to work until late in the restaurant. At first, he got it fine and we re-arranged my work time. But after few minutes, he changed his mind saying he can't let me work there further. As he explained, if he is caught by immigration or any authorities, he would get into trouble. But I got his message differently, no one runs business in Australia legally, they all break the rule to make money. As I suspected, he wanted to eliminate me because of some question that I asked. He might have been afraid of losing his business privacy to someone else like me. 

This my second work experience in Australia. Lol. In conclusion, I learned not to rush to know more about something new I just started but learn gradually.

An unemployed engineer man decided to run his own business and opened a hospital. Then he put an advertisement outside which says all treatment cost $200,000 and if he cannot treat illness, he would give the money back with extra $200,000. Soon a medical student is determined to make money from this hospital as lying and went to there with $200,000. 

Student : Doctor , I am unable to taste anything any more. Please help me. 

Doctor : Nurse, give the patient number 22 liquid. 

Student : Oh shit, this is petrol. 

Doctor : Very good, your sense of taste has come back. Please pay $200,000 of medical payment.

The student angrily paid it and went back. After couple of days, he came back again. 

Student : Doctor, I don't remember anything any longer. Please help me. 

Doctor : Nurse, give the patient number 22 liquid. 

Student : Hang on, it is petrol, isn't it?

Doctor : Congratulations, your memory has come back. Please make the payment at the reception. 

The student paid it with desperation. He got back there again because he couldn't sleep out of his furious. 

Student : Doctor, my eyesight is getting worse. 

Doctor : Sorry, I can't treat it. Here is $400,000. Take it.

Student : Hey, it's just $1000. 

Doctor : Great, your eyesight has come back. Your medical payment is $200,000. Please pay it at the reception.

Funny story of someone

The story that I am going to write now was written in internet. It is about how some people made friend so funny. Let me start now. 

A man bought a car named Toyota Corolla and was just hanging around with his friends with the car around city. They all were a bit drunk celebrating the friend's new car. Suddenly, exactly the same car passed them very fast. Tipsy guys got angry then started running a race with the other car. The furious people in both two cars pulled over their cars and got out of them. Apparently, it was not friendly meeting , all the guys fought to each other. Unexpectedly, a police car silence heard , so fighters got in their cars immediately and escaped from the site. On the way to back home, the guys talked to each other about the fight, how they had bitten their rivals and were so proud of themselves. But one of them was so quiet and said nothing. The driver looked back at him and realized one member of the other was sitting rare seat of the car. He might have confused the car with his friend's car. Then men also realized their one friend got in the wrong car. The guys phoned to the people of the other card and wanted to exchange their friend. The guys in the other car agreed and met in a place. When they exchanged their friends, all boys laughed a lot and have made friends since then.

Simple but rough deal

I have made a deal with my girlfriend which is to write an essay of 100 words every day. If any of us breaks the deal, the rule-breaker has to get a punishment of doing massage for other one. The idea of the deal is to improve our English. We have come up with several ideas for long time, but none of them lasted long. Hopefully,this one will go on well. 

My girlfriend has broken the rule in the first day. Kkkk. She is sleeping right now next to me. Tomorrow i will definitely have  fifteen minute massage done by her. Xoxoxo. Have a good night :)

New goal

Every time I read some newspaper or internet articles of successful people, I find they all read a lot. Not only business books, but also the best novels. I reckon there are quite a bit of books which educated people should read. To become one of those shrewd, prosperous people, I need to do the same as they do. First step is setting the habit of reading the most famous novels in the world. Now I have a list of the best a hundred novels, which a friend of mine posted in the Facebook. Even though I don't know whether it's right list or not, I'd better start reading. As I worked in software company back home, during the lunch one of the directors said that he finishes a book a month. Obviously, he used to read those books in native language. I don't think I can read a book a month in English. But I am able to finish in two months. Now everything is clear. to finish a book in two months.
